Mascocan Solidario Coslada is a Sunday morning event for pets and people at the Coslada Fairgrounds, from 10:00 to 14:00. The event includes a Solidarity March with Pets, organized by Coslada City Council’s Department of Health, Consumption and Animal Welfare as part of a broader animal-welfare day. Over 3,200 people have attended, with the Canicross Madrid race attracting nearly 600 registered participants, a record for the event.
The day focuses on responsible adoption, careful pet ownership, and raising awareness against animal mistreatment and abandonment. In addition to the march, attendees can visit a large Animal Adoption Day, a collection point for supplies for animal shelters in Valencia, and enjoy a popular paella. Rubén Aguilar, Coslada’s councillor for Health, Consumption and Animal Welfare, stated it offers residents an opportunity to support the animal cause.
