Media Maratón Rural Villanueva de la Torre 2026

The Media Maratón Rural Villanueva de la Torre is a new rural half marathon held in Villanueva de la Torre, located in Spain's Guadalajara province. It is scheduled for autumn and covers the standard 21.097-kilometer distance. The town council is organizing the event in collaboration with the Runnink platform. The route combines streets within the municipality with agricultural tracks, offering runners a mix of village sections and open farmland instead of a purely road-based course. A portion of the route passes through a ZEPA (Special Protection Area for birds), providing a natural setting where participants might observe farmland, birds, and other wildlife. This inaugural edition also aligns with the municipality's initiative to achieve European Town of Sport status.
