Milla Solidária Heroínas de Sálvora is a one-mile charity run and walk at the port of Aguiño, in Ribeira on Galicia’s A Coruña coast. It is held in early January and uses the classic mile distance of 1,609 meters, with a non-competitive format that lets people join by running or walking.
The event raises money for Ágape, the Asociación Galega para o Acompañamento Persoal e Educativo. Around 200 people joined one recent edition despite intense cold, and the morning brought in just over 543 euros. Abraham Benítez promotes the race and walk, and the event has already reached its seventh edition.
