The Milla Urbana de Banyoles is a one-mile road race held on Passeig Antoni Gaudí, adjacent to the Club Natació Banyoles facilities. It takes place on an autumn afternoon, focusing on the classic terrestrial mile distance of 1,609 meters. Separate races are organized for children, adapted athletes, under-16 runners, and the main men's and women's fields. The athletics section of Club Natació Banyoles organizes the event, which now attracts approximately 150 athletes across all categories.
The mile course follows a closed urban circuit comprising two large laps and one shorter lap, allowing runners to remain close to spectators throughout most of the race. The program also features a 5 km popular race, introduced after the event evolved beyond its initial structure. The race originated as an internal Club Natació Banyoles athletics activity to signal the start of a new season, subsequently growing into a local race day for club runners, younger age groups, and visiting athletes from clubs including GEiEG and Cornellà Atlètic.
