The San Silvestre de Talarrubias is a charitable end-of-year road race held in Talarrubias, a town in Badajoz, Extremadura. The primary race covers 6 km, with a 2 km option for those preferring a shorter distance. It adheres to the Spanish San Silvestre tradition, taking place during the Christmas and New Year racing season instead of the typical spring or autumn schedule.
The race begins and concludes in Plaza de España, utilizing a circuit through Talarrubias’s main streets. The course is largely flat; 2 km participants run one lap, and 6 km participants run three. Children’s races are also featured, including a 70 m Chupetines dash and a 500 m Prebenjamines race, with the youngest participants finishing near the church. The organization is a collaboration between AD Talarunners, the Talarrubias City Council, and the Mancomunidad de Municipios Siberia, contributing to the event's local club and town square atmosphere.
