San Silvestre Ilipense 2026

San Silvestre Ilipense is a 5 km popular race through Zalamea de la Serena, in Badajoz, held near the end of the year as part of the San Silvestre running tradition. It is run on an urban asphalt course and is treated as a fun, non-competitive event rather than one built only around rankings. The Ayuntamiento de Zalamea de la Serena organizes the race, with support from the regional sports and youth department of Extremadura. The event draws local runners and people who want a short year-end run through town; the first 200 registered participants within the official entry period receive T-shirts, and runners are told to keep their bibs because extra surprises are linked to them after the race.
