San Silvestre Loiu 2026

San Silvestre Loiu is a short night race held in Loiu, organized by Beste Bira Loiu as part of the end-of-year San Silvestre running tradition. The course measures just 3.4 kilometers, but participants find it challenging from the beginning because of its winding path and consistent elevation changes. The participant field is local and competitive, not large: just over 200 runners were classified, an increase from fewer than 200 in the prior edition. The frontrunners include road racers, a triathlete, veterans, and strong female competitors racing closely. Separate cash prizes are awarded to the top male finishers, top female finishers, top veteran finishers, and the first local athlete.
