The San Silvestre Piedrahitense begins and ends in the Plaza Mayor of Piedrahita, a town in Ávila, Spain. This popular running race, held in late December, offers 2.5 km and 5 km distances, suitable for casual runners and those seeking a final challenge of the year. The race commences in the morning and is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Piedrahíta.
The course winds through the streets of Piedrahita, featuring multiple surface changes including cobblestone, asphalt, concrete, and hard dirt. The layout has been modified to reduce prolonged climbs and create a more balanced elevation profile. Volunteers and Club MTB Piedrahíta mark the entire course, with entertainment stations at two points along the circuit to engage the town as runners pass through more than once.
