Subida al Pilarico Christmas 2026

The Subida al Pilarico Christmas race takes participants from Antas, Almería, towards the Pilarico area near Christmas. This popular cross-country race covers approximately 9.2 km (some sources list it as 9 km). The event intentionally keeps a small field, with a maximum of 400 entries and a 1 hour 30 minute time limit for finishers. The route begins at Era del Lugar and concludes at the Ermita del Cabezo María - Pilarico. Participants can opt for the competitive race or a non-competitive hike, broadening the event's appeal beyond a typical race. Organized by the Sports Department of Antas City Council, runners are provided with a race bag. The event is a fixture on the Almería running calendar, serving as a rural end-of-year activity.
