Trail Pantano de Peñarroya 2026

The Trail Pantano de Peñarroya takes place in the Castle and Peñarroya Reservoir area near Argamasilla de Alba, in Ciudad Real. It is a morning trail event within the Ruidera Natural Park, featuring a 28 km race that begins first, followed by a 16 km short race and a hiking route. The long race includes 325 meters of elevation gain, and the short race has 200 meters, positioning both as runnable trail distances rather than mountain ultras. The event offers three participation options: the two timed trail races and an approximately 10 km hike. Adults are eligible for the races. Participants aged 16 and 17 require permission from a parent or legal guardian to race. Younger children may join the hike accompanied by a responsible adult. The hiking route also welcomes leashed, muzzled, and well-behaved dogs. Start times may be adjusted based on weather forecasts.
