La Lineal kicks off the Vall d'Aro Run Series with an 11.23 km coastal trail race in S'Agaró, Girona. The course follows the Camí de Ronda, the historic coastal path connecting coves and headlands on the Costa Brava, from Torre Valentina to Parc de Sant Ramon. Despite its short distance, the route presents 129 meters of elevation gain and loss, featuring stairs, elevation changes, narrow sections, and some sandy terrain. Participants can run or walk, and staggered starts are used to manage flow through the narrower parts of the path.
La Lineal hosted nearly 200 participants as the series' opening event. It functions as both a standalone race and part of the points series, which includes the Nocturna and Clàssica. Runners receive category results and awards, with aid provided during the race and at the finish. An optional bus service is available, as the course is point-to-point. The appeal lies in its compact coastal trail, sufficient climbing and stairs to offer a challenge, and a route that maintains proximity to the sea for the majority of its length.
