Vuelta al Hacho a Nado Ceuta is an open-water swimming race in Ceuta, the Spanish city on the North African coast. It is part of the Spanish Open Water Swimming Cup, and swimmers have voted it the best event on that calendar. The field is capped at roughly 250 to 300 swimmers, with entries expected to sell out well before the registration window closes, so it is a race people plan for rather than casually join at the last minute.
The route goes through the Foso Real, crosses the Port of Ceuta, and follows the coast around Monte Hacho, where currents add a technical test. The local open-water swimming association organizes the race, and Ceuta’s sports officials talk about it as one of the city’s major sporting events. Its reputation comes from a simple mix of hard water, an unusual coastal course, and strong organization, not from being a mass event.
