Helsinki Trail Run

Helsinki Trail Run is a Friday evening trail race held in Pirkkola Sports Park, Helsinki. Participants can choose between a 10 km and a 21.1 km distance, the latter being the Helsinki Trail Half Marathon. Both main races begin simultaneously. The event is organized by Helsinki Half Marathon Oy, which also runs the Helsinki Half Marathon. For younger participants, Kids Run Helsinki Trail offers a 500 m race for those under 7 and a 1000 m race for older children, with all finishers receiving a medal. The race headquarters are at Pirkkola Sports Park, with the start line also located there. The race office can be found at Pirkkolan Metsätie 6. Runners can collect their bibs at the race office, and a friend may pick up a bib on their behalf. Free gear storage is available near the start and finish areas. The competition includes men's, women's, and non-binary categories for both main distances. The 10 km race has a 2-hour time limit, and the half marathon has a 3.5-hour limit. A checkpoint is situated around the 10 km mark for the half marathon, indicating that the longer route requires a genuine trail-running effort.
