Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide Finnish athletics series for children and young people aged 5 to 15. Over 500 local events are organized across Finland annually, with more than 25,000 participants. It serves as an accessible way for children to try athletics and compete near their homes, rather than being exclusively for experienced club athletes. The series is conducted with the Finnish Athletics Federation, and Metsä Group has been the title partner since 2022. The format is local and family-oriented: children are encouraged to try different events in a safe, encouraging setting, while parents can also assist as officials on competition days. The emphasis is on providing young athletes with early sports experiences that support daily well-being and an active lifestyle, not solely on results.
