Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide series of local athletics meets for children aged 5 to 15 in Finland. Over 500 events take place across the country annually, attracting more than 25,000 young participants. The series is organized with the Finnish Athletics Federation, and Metsä Group is the title partner. These are grassroots competition days, not elite races. Children are encouraged to try athletics and other physical activity in a safe, low-threshold setting. Families are involved, with parents able to assist as officials during the events. The broader goal is to provide young people with positive sports experiences and encourage an active everyday lifestyle.
