Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a national Finnish athletics series for ages 5 to 15, with local club events held annually in over 500 locations across Finland. The competition format is designed for easy participation, focusing on providing young athletes a safe, encouraging way to try various athletics disciplines near their homes, rather than solely on fast times or winners. Over the season, the events attract more than 25,000 participants. Metsä Group is the title partner, collaborating with the Finnish Athletics Federation on the series. The structure is intentionally family-oriented, allowing parents to assist as officials on event days, while children become familiar with sports in a relaxed, local environment.
