Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a relaxed athletics competition series for Länsi-Uudenmaan Urheilijat, organised with Metsä Group and the Finnish Athletics Federation. Instead of a separate race-day setup, the events are integrated into the club’s normal training times, so participants arrive and leave as they would for regular practice. Everyone can join, and no competition licence is required. Each session starts with a shared warm-up before the group moves into that day’s event or events, such as sprint races or field-event-style disciplines. Parents of participating children help run the session as officials, measuring attempts, smoothing the sand pit, and handling the practical jobs that keep the competition moving. The format is built around club training rather than a formal championship, with competition days shared through MyClub and the club competition calendar.
