Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a national Finnish athletics series for children aged 5 to 15, featuring over 500 local events annually across the country. The format is intentionally accessible, allowing children and young people to engage with athletics in a secure, positive environment instead of a high-pressure championship. Metsä Group has served as the title partner since 2022, collaborating with the Finnish Athletics Federation to foster youth athletics. These events are local club-style competitions, with the "course" comprising various athletics disciplines hosted in communities throughout Finland. Annually, over 25,000 children and young people participate. The days are designed for families and athletes alike, and parents can volunteer as officials, enhancing the series' community atmosphere beyond that of a spectator-focused sports event.
