Piirin myöntämä kilpailu translates to “District-awarded competition.” This event, part of the Koskimiehen summer race series in the UK, is an evening track-and-field meet held at Kimpinen in Lappeenranta. Lappeenrannan Urheilu-Miehet organizes it as an accessible event, free of charge, featuring short sprints, an 800-metre race, long jump, and discus. The competition primarily targets junior age groups and masters athletes. The youngest participants compete in 40 or 60-metre races, an 800-metre race, and long jump. Athletes in the under-13 and under-15 categories also participate in discus. For adult masters, the program mainly includes 100-metre and 800-metre races, with discus also offered for certain age brackets.
