Avenue de Chavailles in Bruges, near Bordeaux, serves as the start and finish for this 10 km race held on April 10. The firefighters of the Bruges barracks and the city are the organizers. It is a public road race, not restricted to firefighters, offering 3,000 spots and beginning around 9:50 AM. The race welcomes licensed and unlicensed runners, from cadets to masters. This means beginners will be running alongside club members and seasoned athletes. The course follows local roads in Bruges, with some temporary closures in the Tasta area during the event. Now in its second edition, the race supports a cause: 5 euros from each registration benefits the League Against Cancer's work against childhood cancers. An entertainment area is set up near the race, which also hosts the first French Open 10 km for firefighters.
