The starts are at Place de la Halle aux Drapiers, with Louviers switching into evening-race mode for the Foulées lovériennes. This is a charity series in the Eure department of Normandy, organized by Les Foulées, the City of Louviers, and Foul&es de Louviers. The goal is simple: people run or walk, enjoy the night atmosphere in town, and help raise money to buy sports equipment for a young athlete with a physical or mental disability.
The program is built for a wide mix of runners, from baby athletics races of 200 m and 400 m to children’s races around 1.3 km, a family adult-child relay over 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km races, relays, and an athletic walk. The main routes stay in the heart of Louviers and are fairly gentle, with listed climbs ranging from almost flat to modest city-course elevation. Families, friends, colleagues, experienced runners, and elite runners all share the same evening, with podiums and rewards on offer. The event has aimed to beat a 1,300-participant record, and runners get practical basics on site such as aid stations and changing rooms.
