The 6 Heures Du Parc De La Lere - Caussade is a six-hour individual running race held in Caussade, organized by the Club athlétique caussadais at Parc de la Lère. Participants begin in the morning and continue until late afternoon, aiming to complete the maximum number of loops within the allotted time. The structure is straightforward: complete a loop, rest, and repeat, with each runner setting a pace suited to their ability and objectives.
The route is a 2.5-kilometer circuit around the park’s lakes; twelve laps total 30 kilometers. Approximately sixty runners participated in the inaugural event, encountering cool temperatures and intermittent rain. Some approached it as a competitive test, while others utilized the six hours for a leisurely run amidst nature, occasionally running with fellow participants for mutual support. The club presented the race as a novel concept and might organize it again in another season, potentially during the fall.
