Trail des Arpents is a winter trail race held in Le Perray-en-Yvelines, located west of Paris in the Yvelines region. Participants can select from longer trail distances, such as 23 km and 42 km routes. A previous edition also featured a 17 km option with approximately 300 m of elevation gain. The race is organized by ALTERNATURE 3R and utilizes local paths, avoiding road running.
The courses traverse tranquil hamlets, the Rambouillet forest, and the grounds of the Abbey of Vaux de Cernay, presenting wooded and undulating terrain. Mud is a significant factor: one participant described extensive flooded areas and water reaching knee-depth on a large portion of the shorter course. The event also contributes to a charitable cause, benefiting the Téléthon and the association 1Geste1Reve1Sourire, which supports sick children.
