Alternative Watten Cassel is a road race in Hauts-de-France, northern France. Its main event covers 21.100 km between Watten and Cassel. The race becomes challenging almost immediately with a steep climb up the Montagne de Watten just a few hundred meters after the start, requiring runners to be prepared before the road has truly begun. Following this initial difficulty, the route transitions into a long false-flat descent extending toward the eleventh kilometer.
