APIRUNTOUR is a mid-April trail event in Liffré, near Rennes in Brittany, featuring races on forest paths and wide woodland tracks. Available distances are 8 km, 15 km, 22 km, and 32 km. The event accommodates walkers, with a Nordic walking option included. It is run self-sufficiently, meaning participants should anticipate a nature-focused day rather than a race with extensive support.
The most unique race is the Défi infini, Le Pain d'Alexandre: a 7.7 km loop with 52 m elevation gain, run once per hour from sunrise to sunset. Each loop must be completed within the hour. There is no aid within the challenge zone. The winner is the last runner remaining or the first to complete the final loop. APIRUNTOUR was established by the founders of the APIRUN apiary, emphasizing forest running, solidarity, and environmental respect. Recent editions have offered pony rides for families during the day.
