Argen'Trail begins and ends in Argentière, a mountain village at the upper end of the Chamonix valley. The race covers 27 km with 1,700 m of elevation gain. While the distance is moderate, the course is steep and technical. The route consists of two loops, with a refreshment stop in the village center between them.
The first loop travels via the Moraine to Les Chosalets, then reaches Le Lavancher by the north balcony. It climbs to the chalets de la Pendant and Plan Joran, marking the 10 km point. After descending via the Trapette path and returning through Argentière, the second loop goes under the railway line to Le Planet. It follows the Travarchires path and the North balcony, climbing towards Peclerey. The second checkpoint is located near the stone refuge at Grand Chantet head, at 1,967 m and around 20 km. A balcony section facing the Mont-Blanc range precedes a descent with 34 bends back to the village finish.
