The Beaulieu Winter Tour takes place in late February in Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche, Vendée, France. This forest race offers three distances: 8 km, 14 km, and 23 km, allowing participants to select a brief run or a more extensive winter trail. Nocturne editions of some distances are also available, providing a distinct atmosphere compared to a typical daytime village trail race.
Each distance follows a single-loop course on local paths and tracks, with the 23 km route being the most frequently chosen. The Running Collective organizes the event, which is part of a regional series designed to introduce runners to French locations and history through races. It caters to trail runners of various skill levels, not exclusively seasoned athletes; the shorter loops serve as an entry point for novices, while the 23 km distance presents the primary challenge.
