Belle-Ile en Trail - 19 km, known as La Palantine, is a trail race held on Belle Ile en Mer, an island off the coast of Morbihan in Brittany. It begins and ends in Le Palais, takes place in September, and is part of a day featuring other trail races: 11 km, 32 km, 45 km, and 81 km. The 19 km race includes approximately 200 meters of elevation gain, starts in the late morning, and has a 2 hour 45 minute cutoff.
The course follows the island’s coastal paths and interior trails. Versions of the event travel from Le Palais towards Locmaria, Bangor, Grands Sables beach, and the rugged coastline before looping back to Le Palais. The race series is managed by Association Grand Raid Insulaire, with assistance from the island municipalities of Le Palais, Locmaria, Bangor, and Sauzon, alongside local and regional organizations focused on coastal and natural environments.
