Berjatrail begins and ends at 91 avenue Professeur Tixier in Bourgoin-Jallieu, Nord-Isere, France, sending runners out after dark with headlamps. It is a night trail race offering three formats: 9 km, 16 km, and 24 km. The event is run by volunteers and operates independently of the TimePulse organization.
The routes traverse paths and undergrowth, run alongside a pond, and feature the short ascents characteristic of Nord-Isere. The longer distances serve as a practical preparation for SaintéLyon, particularly for evaluating headlamps, clothing, pace, and night running cadence. Following the finish, participants return to a village area offering hot meals, entertainment, and opportunities to share experiences. The organizers also implement practical environmental measures, such as bulk aid stations, waste reduction, and a personalized flocked T-shirt.
