レースについて
The Bike and Run de Merville Franceville is a winter race for two-person teams held at the Merville Battery museum site in Merville-Franceville-Plage, on the Normandy coast. Each pair uses a single mountain bike; one teammate rides while the other runs, with the flexibility to switch roles at any point. The event features 10 km and 15 km distances, exclusively using mountain bikes, and is open to individuals aged 16 and older. Côte Fleurie Triathlon organizes this event as part of its Bike and Run Côte Fleurie series.
The start and finish are located within the historic Merville Battery, grounding the race in the old military site rather than on town roads. The course is flat with no significant technical challenges, making it accessible for newcomers while allowing experienced teams to maintain a high pace. A specific rule ensures teamwork: both teammates and their bike must cross the finish line together, and the bike must remain in motion throughout the race. The event, in its early stages, saw enough interest from its initial edition to warrant its continuation with additional race formats.
