Bike and Run du Roi is a two-person bike-and-run race in Versailles, held around the Pièce d’Eau des Suisses in the Park of the National Estate of the Château de Versailles. Each pair shares one mountain bike: one teammate runs while the other rides, then they swap whenever they like, using the bike almost like a relay baton. Both teammates wear helmets, stay close together, and cross the finish zone together on each lap. Versailles Triathlon organizes the event, with a shorter 6.5 km XS race and a 13 km S race called the Course du Roi.
The route loops around the large water basin and uses the nearby paths, woods, grass, and undergrowth, including a broad grassy climb. Runners start first, then meet the riders after 400 meters so each pair can settle into the shared-bike rhythm. The event is open to licensed and non-licensed participants, with youth categories allowed in the shorter race and teams from cadet through veteran categories in the 13 km race. After the racing, participants receive a hot refreshment, and the stand serves hot drinks and crepes.
