Bretagne Ultra Trail takes place in late April in southern Brittany. All distances conclude at the port of Doëlan in Clohars-Carnoët, Finistère. The 112 km route begins at Poul Fétan in Quistinic and heads to the coast; shorter distances start in Locunolé or Quimperlé. Participants can select 112 km, 59 km, or 29 km. The 112 km course involves approximately 2,140 m of ascent and 2,220 m of descent, while the 59 km course includes about 1,090 m of climbing and 1,200 m of descent.
The course presents a challenging trail run, not a flat coastal path. Runner feedback suggests rain is a common factor, and the significant elevation changes tax the legs. The 59 km route awards 2 ITRA points, and the 112 km race is rated at 4 ITRA points, attracting serious ultra-runners alongside those opting for shorter trail distances. Challenge Nature Armor-Argoat organizes the event, an association focused on nature running, local heritage, environmental respect, and the slogan “Droit au B.U.T.”
