BROKEN RACE - Aubergenville is a looped endurance race in Aubergenville, centered on a short but challenging circuit: 1 km through Parc du Château du Vivier and the adjacent forest, with 64 meters of elevation gain each lap. Runners can select a 24-hour format, either solo or in a relay team of 2 to 4, or a 30 km version, run solo or as a relay of up to 3 runners. The 30 km race involves 30 laps and approximately 1,900 meters of climbing, indicating the distance is only part of the challenge.
The setup is straightforward: pass the same aid station every lap, re-enter the park and forest, and continue until the chosen format is completed or fatigue sets in. The event supports sick children, including aid for 1Mil’Lya, an association assisting children with Alternating Hemiplegia, a rare disease. Adjacent to the race, the park features a sports village with booths, a DJ, restrooms, changing facilities, a midday food truck, an evening pasta meal, and afternoon crepes and waffles, providing reasons for relay teams and spectators to remain throughout the day.
