The Caixabank Mitja Marató Ciutat de Palma Mallorca begins at 10:00 on Av. Adolfo Suárez and concludes at Parc de la Mar, situated directly before Palma’s Cathedral and adjacent to the Joan Miró mural. This road half marathon is open to participants aged 18 to 69. A 10K option is available for those preferring a city race shorter than the full 21.098 km. The half marathon has a 2 hour 30 minute time limit, with timing provided by ChampionChip via ELITECHIP. Hydration stations are located at 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, and the finish line. Cloakroom services are offered at both the start and finish areas.
The route is entirely urban and traffic-free, crossing Avenida Adolfo Suárez, Paseo Marítimo, Paseo Sagrera, the Autovía de Llevant, and Palma’s historic center. It is characterized as a rolling, fast course, suitable for runners aiming for a personal best and for visitors seeking an unobstructed run through the city and along the coast. The competition is divided into male and female overall, junior, promesa, senior, and veteran categories up to 65-69 for the half marathon. The 10K also includes categories for runners aged 70 and above. Participants receive a gift bag with their bib, and finishers are awarded a commemorative medal. Medical support includes a race doctor, ambulances along the route, and accident and civil liability insurance.
