Caldeira trail - Le Tampon 2027

Caldeira Trail is a 55-kilometer mountain trail race on La Réunion, beginning before dawn in Basse Vallée, Saint-Philippe, and concluding in Bourg Murat. Participants ascend approximately 3,000 meters, classifying it as a demanding long-distance event rather than a simple off-road run. The course crosses from the island’s rugged southeast to the interior highlands near Le Tampon, with the finish situated in the cooler uplands of Bourg Murat. Approximately 600 runners participate, and the organizing body, Association Réunion Demain, prioritizes weather and safety due to this being the third-longest trail race on La Réunion.
