Carnava’trail de Mamirolle is a trail race in Mamirolle, Doubs, eastern France, held in late March. Organized by the parents’ associations of Mamirolle, Le Gratteris, and La Chevillotte, it offers a community feel distinct from large commercial events. Participants select from two off-road distances: an 11 km route with 380 meters of elevation gain, and a 21 km route with 650 meters of elevation gain. This event, in its second edition, centers on a carnival theme, with costumes encouraged for participants.
The 11 km course, primarily through the forest near Mont de Mamirolle, suits both novice trail runners and those seeking a shorter distance. The 21 km race is more technical, features varied terrain, and extends to Chapelle Saint-Maximin before looping back towards the Mont. Both races are part of the Challenge Doubs Terre de Trail, integrating the event into the regional trail-running schedule. A Nordic walking option is also available on the shorter route, offering an alternative for the afternoon.
