Caucastrail - Caumont is a trail race in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Gironde, featuring routes around Caumont, Castelmoron-d’Albret, Rimons, Cazaugitat, and Saint-Martin-du-Puy. Participants can select a 10 km loop with approximately 260 m of elevation gain or a 20 km loop with approximately 530 m. A hiking option is also available for those who wish to follow the route without competing.
The course is predominantly off-road, utilizing woods, vineyard tracks, singletrack, and historic paths reopened for the event, with minimal road sections in recent editions. The route includes the small heritage village of Castelmoron-d’Albret, where a refreshment point is located under the market hall. Newer versions incorporate trails near the climbing cliffs of Rimons. Ma Caucas’Ri / Gens d’Albret organizes the race, which offers online registration and a central race hub at the former train station of Saint-Martin-du-Puy, providing parking, post-race refreshments, and the awards ceremony.
