ChalmaTrail - 20 km 2026

ChalmaTrail - 80 km is a new ultra-distance race at ChalmaTrail, held in Chalmazel-Jeansagnière in the Forez mountains. Taking place in July, it is offered alongside 9 km, 20 km, and 45 km races, making the event suitable for both new trail runners and those prepared for a long day in the mountains. The 80 km race is intended for experienced runners and is indexed by UTMB and ITRA. The courses follow forest trails near Chalmazel-Jeansagnière. The terrain is described as varied, wild, accessible, and demanding. The long race follows the established ChalmaTrail format: straightforward organization, a welcoming local atmosphere, and routes through the Forez paths that have defined the event over thirteen editions. Shorter distances are available for beginners, middle routes for club runners, and the full 80 km challenge for ultra runners.
