Citarun is a short trail race in Lille, Nord department, Hauts-de-France, offering 5 km and 10 km distances. Held in early April, it follows the straightforward concept of running around the citadel, placing the event near a major Lille landmark instead of in open countryside.
The routes combine city running with waterside elements, featuring lakes and ponds. The 10 km distance is the more popular choice. The race welcomes both beginners and experienced runners. The previous edition attracted just over 100 participants, giving it a small, local feel rather than a crowded atmosphere. The event also encourages participants to discover Lille and French heritage through running, with the city’s Flemish atmosphere contributing to its appeal.
