The Corrida Amboisienne is an evening road race held in Amboise, located in France’s Indre-et-Loire department. The primary 9 km run commences at 7 PM, with both the start and finish lines situated at Place Michel Debré. The event also provides separate races for younger participants: a 1,000 m Mini Corrida for EA-PO categories, run at a controlled pace, and a 2,000 m race over two loops for BE-MI categories.
The 9 km route consists of two loops, uniquely passing through both the Royal Château of Amboise and the Château du Clos Lucé. Avenir d’Amboise Athlétisme is the organizing body. Traffic modifications are implemented to ensure runner safety, presenting the event as a focused local corrida centered on the town’s most significant landmarks, rather than a typical out-and-back road race.
