The Corrida de Geispolsheim begins the running year in Geispolsheim with a New Year's race held in early January. Organized by the Geispolsheim-Blaesheim voluntary blood donation association and the municipality, entries support the local blood donation cause. Recent editions have drawn around 1,300 participants across five races and a walking event, catering to a broad audience.
The program begins with short races of 600 m, 1.5 km, and 2.6 km. It continues with a 4 km race, a 6 km walk, and the main 7 km race. The 7 km is designated as a trail run and is the most popular distance, attracting over 300 finishers in a recent edition. The day brings together walkers, children, casual runners, and athletes seeking a challenge after the holiday break.
