The Corrida de Saint Renan is a timed road race in Saint-Renan, a town in Finistère, Brittany. Saint-Renan Athlétisme organizes the event, offering races for various ages and skill levels. Children can participate in shorter distances, while older runners have the option of 5 km or 10 km races. Official rankings are maintained, requiring participants to present a valid PPS or athletics license. Minors must also provide parental authorization or a health questionnaire.
The event features a 750 m race for 10-11 year olds, a 1.3 km race for 11-12 year olds, a 2.5 km youth race, and the main 5 km and 10 km events. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, contributing to a festive, community atmosphere rather than a purely competitive one. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race, and a prize is also presented to the team or company with the highest number of participants.
