The Corrida de Vauzelles is an evening running event in Varennes-Vauzelles, in France’s Nièvre department, held in late December. It is built around short road races rather than a single long-distance event, with a 1 km race, a 1.88 km race, and a 7.2 km main race starting close together after dusk.
The course uses a loop, which keeps the event compact and easy for spectators to follow. With more than four decades behind it, the Corrida de Vauzelles is a well-established local race. The shorter distances suit children, beginners, and casual runners, while the 7.2 km race gives regular runners a proper end-of-year effort at a low entry price.
