Corrida des Abbesses - Trail la 14/18 is a race series held in late December in Remiremont, a town in France’s Grand Est region. The event takes place between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The program features two night races: the 7.3 km Corrida des Abbesses on the road and the 9.2 km Trail la 14/18, which includes 300 meters of climbing. The town circuit is closed to traffic, adheres to French Athletics Federation rules for out-of-stadium races, and is open to both licensed and unlicensed runners. The event has been held since 1980 and is organized by AVPR.
The shorter race is suited for runners aiming for a fast time, while the longer trail option offers a hillier course within and around Remiremont. The route passes local landmarks like the 19th-century Fort du Parmont and the 7th-century abbey, utilizing the town's old streets instead of a remote mountain path. Children have their own distances, though participants under 8 are not permitted, making the weekend family-oriented but not exclusively for children. Costumes, confetti, roadside encouragement, and local humor contribute to the atmosphere; one edition even featured a goat named Guedotte in its narrative.
