Corrida Lentignoise is an 8 km road race in Lentigny, a village in the Loire department of France. It takes place in mid-March with a St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere, costumes encouraged, and the local Beer Festival on the same afternoon. The main race begins at Place de la mairie, and the program also features an 8 km St. Patrick’s Walk and races for children and juniors.
The 8 km course consists of three loops of approximately 2.65 km, meaning runners pass the same sections of town multiple times and spectators can view the field more than once. Following the main race, the top 20 men and top 20 women qualify for a “Course à l’Américaine,” a short elimination race where participants are removed lap by lap until a single winner remains. Participants receive a beer, and a free concert is available afterward. Timing is managed by Chronopuces, with live GPS tracking and a fan zone accessible via an app.
