Corrida-Trail Ambarroise is a friendly year-end race held in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, located in France's Ain department. Organized by Triathlon d’Ambérieu, this mid-December event offers runners a choice between 5 km and 10 km distances. The race combines trail and road running, appealing to those seeking a brief winter run without the commitment of an extended trail excursion.
Both courses are single loops beginning near the Saint Exupéry gymnasium. The 5 km path ascends approximately 150 metres, whereas the 10 km path climbs around 400 metres, presenting a genuinely hilly challenge. The routes traverse a combination of town segments, woodlands, and natural trails surrounding Ambérieu-en-Bugey. For the local TAB club, the race serves as an end-of-year sporting gathering, complete with refreshments and snacks provided post-run.
