La Course du Lézard is a local race in Lézardrieux, on Brittany's Côtes-d’Armor coast, held for Women’s Day and organized by the Lézardrieux school’s parents’ association. It provides two timed running distances, approximately 10 km and 19 km, and a 10 km walk, starting and finishing at the Georges Brassens hall. The event is designed for regular runners, walkers, parents, and children, not exclusively fast racers, with entry fees contributing to school projects for local pupils.
The courses combine road and natural paths between the Trieux river and the Lézardrieux area. Participants pass landmarks like the Chapel of Kermaria, a section of the GR trail along the Trieux, the Botanical Garden, Georges Brassens’ house, the port, and Place du Souvenir. Following the adult events, children can participate in free races of 900 m or 1,400 m, receiving small prizes; adult and walker participants also get small gifts, and podium prizes are provided by local partners in Paimpol.
