Course des Lions de l'Espoir is a running event held in November at Parc de Sceaux, south of Paris. It offers 5 km and 10 km races on single-loop courses, along with a 900 m race for children. Lions Clubs from southern Hauts-de-Seine organize the event, which has taken place every November since the 2000s. It attracts a mix of adult runners, families, and younger participants, with recent editions seeing up to 1,400 runners.
The race emphasizes charity alongside running. Profits are directed to associations supporting sport for individuals with disabilities, including groups that help disabled children experience the start of a real competition. Recent beneficiaries include support for Arthur Bellitto, a young autistic athlete, and UPSILON Foot Fauteuil, a powerchair football association holding French and world club titles. The straightforward park setting, selection of two adult distances, and children's race position it as a community sports day rather than a competitive road-racing event.
