Course des Lumières Lyon

The Course des Lumières Lyon is an evening charity run and walk. Participants carry lights through Lyon to support patients and the Fondation Hospices Civils de Lyon. The event starts after dark, with waves beginning in the late afternoon and continuing into the evening. Several straightforward options are available: a 5 km run, a 5 km walk, a 10 km run, a non-timed 10 km at dusk, and a timed 10 km for those seeking an official performance time. The event centers on Place du Maréchal Lyautey, where the race village opens before the starts. It maintains a social atmosphere with DJs, food trucks, and company groups. The format accommodates families, friends, solo runners, walkers, and workplace teams. Participants are encouraged to bring a luminous object, making the route appear as a moving line of lights. Fundraising is integrated into registration, with individual entries including a donation to Fondation HCL, and additional ambassador or enterprise options for groups aiming to raise more.
