Course du Fort de Petite-Synthe - Dunkirk 2027

The Course du Fort de Petite-Synthe is a community race day based at the Fort de Petite-Synthe in Dunkirk, in the Nord department of northern France. It gives runners and walkers several choices instead of one main race: children’s runs, a 5 km popular race, a 10 km Course des As, and a health or Nordic walk with no elevation gain. Entries are low-cost, with free children’s races and modest fees for the adult events. The route goes through the park around the Fort de Petite-Synthe, so the setting is part of the point rather than just a start line. People can enter solo or in pairs, and the distances run from short children’s events of around 800 m, 1 km, and 2 km up to 10 km for stronger runners. The race also counts toward the Dunes of Flanders challenge, linking this local Dunkirk event with a wider regional running circuit.
